    • Less than a week till our next race weekend at GMP! For those that haven't done so please sign up soon. msreg.com/GMP-2025-Event2  Here's the planned schedule for the weekend. Please note we are going to try something a bit different on Friday for the Test'nTune group during the Open Lapping. All registered Road Racers are welcome to participate in the 1 hour Test'nTune session from 2-3pm on Friday. This is open for registered road racers with caged cars only and will be open for both Open Wheel and Sedan entries at the same time assuming the track doesn't get too full (if it does we will look at separating the groups). Following this session we anticipate running just Green wristband racers till the end of the day. If a road race entry is looking for additional track time they can also join the green group of open lapping by adding open lapping to their MSR registration however they will need to follow the passing and track rules in place for the Green Group during open lapping.  WSCC Event 2 - public schedule.pdf
    • The info is in our supp regs. This is from section "X. Scoring. ...Points will be awarded in relation to the Fastest PAX Time of the Division according to the following formula: Your Points = 1000 x Fastest PAX Time of Division / Your PAX Time. Therefore, the fastest driver in each Division shall receive 1000 points for that event." EDIT After looking closer at the bar charts, something is off. It shows three people with 1000 points in street at the first event. Other groups are similar. We'll look into it.
    • If you can find a bolt in cage it may be cheaper 😉 But more cars are always an option!
    • Is there a link somewhere that shows how these are calculated?  Thx.
    • Thanks! Too bad  I guess it gives me a reason to get yet another fun car for lapping and Time attack!
    • Hi BoBah, I looked into this for you:   The National Time Attack Regulations state: 1.0.1.    A roll bar is required for: I.       Vehicles with fold down or completely removable tops (e.g. convertibles);   National Lapping Regulations: 17.3 Roll over protection is required for Modified category vehicles and all open wheel vehicles, and for open top vehicles (convertibles). In the case of factory installed roll hoops found in some convertibles, these hoops are not acceptable as roll over protection to meet these requirements.   Miata hardtops are constructed of fibreglass and do not provide rollover protection.   Aftermarket bolt-in roll bars are readily available for Miatas and work with their standard or hard tops. - Wayne

    • I believe SCCA allows the Spec Mazda hardtop, but I don't interpret the SCCA for WSSC.  I will say I've been to a time attack event where a Miata with OEM hardtop was racing. I drive a Solstice with a rollbar, sometimes.
    • Hello! I was looking to participate in Time Attack and HPDE days, but have a Miata without a rollbar. If I have an OEM hardtop, does that pass the requirements? Or do I still need a rollbar to participate even with a hardtop?   Thanks a lot!
