  1. Nothing new…politicians are known for spreading manure…it’s just that they have moved from the figurative to the literal lol.
  2. I completed and submitted mine yesterday. I had no issues with the downloading messages but I saw the same thing happen last year and it was fixed soon after it was reported.
  3. The Events Calendar is still showing this Thursday.
  4. Thanks Mike. I registered as a volunteer and for the banquet Saturday.
  5. Honestly…World Of Wheels worked very well last year. And I had a great time volunteering for it. I’m hoping we’ll do WOW again in 2024.
  6. Thank you Mike for all your efforts and hard work. Racing every 2 weeks this winter is a tight schedule to run but we all worked together to see it through. IceX was a HUGE success this winter too! I’m already looking forward to 2024!
  7. I was looking so forward to the Pursuit Race and it definitely did not disappoint!
  8. I’m all signed up to volunteer (chasing cones on the slalom course, flagging at Station 4 please and I’ll help with garbage detail too). Thanks gang. Looking forward to this!
  9. I have 121 reserved for racing...even though I might not do any lapping days thus year, I'd like it reserved for me please...thanks.
  10. I have completed my new PIP schedule and classification for 2022 but I keep getting a remote certificate error when I try to download the PDF report. It happens both on my phone and on my computer. I'm just going to print the report from the web page calculation and submit that for now...anyone else having this issue?
  11. Oh and thanks Roland for having the Autumnwood call us to reschedule our rooms...I’m booked in for the updated weekends as well.
  12. It’s going to be very difficult (but not impossible) for me to get another 3 day weekend in May...As of right now, I will still plan to be there and volunteer for the race school Saturday and Sunday on the new dates but I’m less optimistic about being there the preceding Friday...maybe Friday afternoon or evening. I’ll keep you posted and I’ll make every effort to see if work can accommodate a schedule change for this weekend so I can work towards having the new dates off. Thanks for the update Roland and we’ll talk soon.
  13. That’s awesome news Mike! I’ve already reserved a hotel room at The Lakeview for Saturday night and blocked the weekend off at work...we’ll talk more at Winnipeg Beach! See you soon.
  14. I'll be out this Ice Season for as much as I can. New work commitments mean I'll be there Sundays for local events but I'm hoping to be full weekend for Winnipeg Beach Ice Race and of course Gimli Ice Race! See you all soon.
  15. X2 David...I missed a couple cone calls as well...but everyone had lot's of fun. There are elements of DirtX that combine so many other racing disciplines...but the simplicity of racing on a dirt track also goes back to the real roots of racing. I'm looking forward to working more events next year. Who knows? Maybe I'll even scrounge up the $300 for my own dirt racer lol!
  16. I hope we can have spectators soon but it’s understandable that we restrict this for now. The drag strip is going to operate on the August Long Weekend but they are apparently not allowed spectators. The group running this part of the facility is trying to come up with a plan to allow it as venues like Victory Lane Speedway had spectators this past Thursday. However, Victory Lane only allowed spectators with “vaccine passports” and there was no spectator entry to the pits after the races (which is difficult to do at Gimli for either kind of event). See you all in August! Can’t wait for the first competition event of 2021!
  17. I usually get over my windburn in a day or two...it’s always worth it.
