FFAttack
Just curious as it was always fun to see how you stack up, is there a list of RAW time records for Gimli? Like FWD, RWD AWD etc? Spent last night getting the car ready for the 23-25th, looking forward to knocking the cobwebs out (of me and the car). Jeremy
donrolandofurioso
Interestingly, nobody has yet run in the RAW class, but there are some numbers the regular T/A classes provide. The fastest RWD car we currently have Is Russ Friesen's Viper ACR - he is good for a 58 second lap time. There are several Vipers, Camaros and Corvettes that knock on the one-minute mark. The fastest AWD cars are the Ford Focus , Mitsubishi and Subaru. Look for 1:04 times from the faster ones. When it comes to FWD cars, I think we find the quickest ones in the Road Racing Division, where some of the Civics run 1:07 in the ST5 and ST6 class. However, Gary brought out his Civic about two years ago, and If I remember right, he was quite a bit faster, albeit in a higher class. We also had a gentleman from AB travelling through last year, who single-handedly established a new track record with his Formula Libre with a motorcycle engine and a huge amount of aerodynamics. I believe he was producing 53 seconds lap times. Definitely impressive! Note: this is written based solely on my recollection. If I missed somebody's fast time I apologize!

Some impressive times for sure. I met Russ in August, really cool to see an ACR being used for what it’s made for. I think I saw Rocky in the Silver Civic doing 1:06’s when I was out in June.
Ianfromduff
I had a 1:01.5 in my awd subaru when It was still running.
donrolandofurioso
Yes, you are correct. Rocky is running 1:06 times. And then there is this mystical Subaru from Saskatchewan. Just like its Lancer brethren from Sk it can run very fast times. But to see those run you have to come to the track early, as they don't like to run all day! Dnfwm
I'm Gary. Roland had mentioned a race civic of mine being faster than the others. I got that car into 1:04s, but truthfully had limited seat time with it. I think there was a 1:03 in it. And my best in the camaro was 1:00:2 and Kaycee put that yellow C5Z race car down to 1:00:07.
FFAttack
Just to round this thread out I ended up with a 1:04.6 lap. With this being only my first weekend at the track on 3 season old tires I’m happy. Looking forward to see what I can get it down to next season.
