2024 Ice Race Event #3 - Lake Shirley - CANCELED

Unfortunately we will need to cancel this race weekend outright. The site at Lake Shirley is still in no shape to race on without snow. Other factors influencing our decision to cancel the weekend outright include allowing some time for people to repair their cars and give our volunteers a bit of a break - trying to hold three weekends back to back is not ideal for sure. With the big Gimli weekend in less than 2 weeks we want to ensure as many people as people are able to attend.

Apologies to all those that had their heart set on hitting the ice again this coming weekend.

Get registered for another awesome weekend of Ice Drifting & Racing on Feb 24/25 as we return to Lake Shirley. After the earlier brutal cold that cancelled our Sunday's racing for Event #1 and now crazy warm temperatures that created a "lake" at Lake Shirley we plan on redeeming ourselves on the ski pond with hopefully great weather and great ice track action on Feb 24/25.

It will be our typical Ice weekend with a brief orientation school on Saturday in the morning for any newcomers followed by an afternoon full of Ice Drifting and lapping. Sunday will have a brief lapping/practice in the morning and at noon the Ice Racing and Drifting will definitely entertain the crowd of spectators. (spectator fee is $10 per vehicle on Sunday)

Mother nature is kicking our butt this winter! With the crazy warm weather the site at Lake Shirley is too melted and slushy to drift and race on and unfortunately we need to postpone the event till the following weekend on Feb 10/11.

Hope everyone can still make it and we are even more hopeful for slightly cooler weather (who would have thought we would be wishing for colder weather in January!)
