Info for Ice Race #3 and #4 Weekend Double Header in Portage Feb 20/21

Schedule for the weekend:

Both are race days but schedule has changed slightly for Saturday to make up the one missed RTI race from last Race Weekend. Makeup race will be just before lunch on Saturday so practice is 10 mins each rather than 15 mins.

Saturday will be Race Day #3 on schedule and a completely new Race Day #4 on Sunday, that means starting grid on Sunday is by Points and not a reverse from Saturday Race 6.

Saturday Feb 6th

9:30 am - worker meeting

9:45 am - driver meeting at Mega Computers white trailer. Don’t wait to be called, make sure you are here at this time. Studded drivers should have cars running and ready as you are the track right after meeting

This will be done without notice to the drivers so be prepared to have your vehicle in the stage lane earlier if you know we are behind.

5pm to 6pm – Track is open to race cars and race drivers only. Ride alongs are permitted following our normal rules. Jordan S will be around to watch over this session and I may need some volunteers for VIP ride-alongs.

** Note to T&S, you’ll need to have the points figured out by this evening for the starting order so we know the starting order for Sunday morning. I can give you a hand with that Saturday evening.

How to find the track in Portage?

It's on Crescent Lake which is in the middle of town. Previous years we have raced on the West Side of the Bridge, WE ARE NOT LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BRIDGE, this year we are on the East side.

Hard to show screen captures of maps so I made a PDF of the directions: here it is:

MAKE SURE YOU TURN LEFT AT THE STOP SIGN AFTER CROSSING THE BRIDGE!

The Road looks like it 'should' go straight (to PCU Centre) although you need to turn left and follow the path. Even if you do screw up and go straight then keep going and turn left at Brandon avenue which should be your only left turn.

Thanks
