Tips for getting your car safe and ready at the track.

Your tech sheet items should have been checked at least within a week prior to the event.

After parking your car in a grid spot in the appropriate run group you should finish prepping your car for racing.

IN YOUR CAR

  • REMOVE all loose items from inside your car including but not limited to:

  • garage door openers

  • coolers

  • jackets/clothing

  • unsecured floor mats

  • Ready your helmet

  • Take out all your loose CDs, etc.

  • ANYTHING NOT BOLTED DOWN INSIDE THE CAR = OUT

IN YOUR TRUNK

  • spare tire

  • jack

  • tools

  • ANYTHING NOT BOLTED DOWN IN YOUR TRUNK = OUT

OUTSIDE YOUR CAR

  • Install your car number

  • Install “Track Tape” or masking tape as needed

  • Do an initial tire pressure setting

  • Check you oil level (if not already done that morning)

Make sure your belongings are secured on the grass behind your grid spot. You don't want your stuff blowing away while you are out on course driving or working.

Final checkover to ensure your car is ready to race.
