Corey
Does anyone in the club have a vacuum pump* I could borrow for a weekend?I have a delaminated snowboard that I want to reassemble. I've got a connection for all the materials required (epoxy, bags, breather ply, etc.) other than the vacuum pump itself. * I realize I'm setting myself up for jokes about blue pills and the like. I'm fine with that.

Corey
Jim, feel like having stinky two-part epoxy at your place? Thanks, but no thanks, Joe. I'm evacuating a 170 x 30 cm bag. The epoxy would cure before I pulled a vacuum!
Jim Eh.
Probably wouldn't be any worse than some of the other "chemical" smells around my shop.

Riverman
I've done a lot of composite work and I've always used a venturi pump. This is what Boeing, Bristol, Stevenson use. http://www.briskheat.com/p-324-vacuum-venturi-pump.aspx A bag connector is easily available. http://www.acpsales.com/EZ-Vac-Connector.html I may be able to borrow a setup from work if you can wait until Wednesday.
