Femur13 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 So I've used the search function, and I see a bunch of recomendations for bodyshops, but I'm looking for recommendations for mechanical work. I found out with a bit of help, that there's a bit of play in my front right tie rod, and I believe it's causing the noise that is driving me crazy, haha.
justkickin Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Try Fountain Tire on Fermor. Talk to Anthony or Merv. Tell them I sent you.
MRS Joe Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 With a tierod swap you will need an alignment to reset toe and Center the wheel. Keep that in mind if you want to get all 4 corners done too
Beau Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Ian, there's a good shop near where I work. It's just a single mechanic with about 4 bays, but he's always been very honest and has treated me well. It's called Citicarb, located on Raleigh near Munroe. I'd recommend him to anyone.
Corey Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Mark's brother Barry runs Bear's repairs on Chevrier. Good guy, former autocrosser.
Need my Focusin Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Jackson Autosport has always earned my business with attention to detail, outstanding knowledge and great value.
Jeff Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Jackson Autosport ... great value. That's honestly the first time I've seen those two phrases in the same sentence. Most people complain about their prices, but John does do awesome work.
Need my Focusin Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I can understand that most people think price and value are the same thing, I do not believe this to be true. He is not the cheapest but I would not let the cheapest touch my car.
Femur13 Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks for the recomendations guys. Now all I have to do is make a few calls.
