For the Time Posting issue when you post and it's an hour ahead; This is a slight bug in the forums and there is an easy work-around now that we figured it out. Once you are logged in to the Forums go to: "My Profile" under your name on the top right > Click on "edit settings" is on the left hand side > Click on account tab > scroll down to your Date & Time Settings and change the "DST Correction" to "DST always OFF" the click "save changes" at the bottom. This doesn't actually turn off the DST setting, it puts you back where you are supposed to be. Try it out. Thanks.

Hi Krank, The time part that I'm talking about is just above your post in the same white window part. It says your post on this was yesterday at 8:08pm, does it show you that on your screen? I'll take another look at the avatar part.

Hi Krank,Regarding Avatars; I just tried 30 different image files and it did have issues with some of them but most seemed to load. I just changed mine now.Can you do me a favour and try some other files to see if it works out? File size seems to be the key (although I'm not sure) as it seems to have issues with larger files. The ones that balked out on me were over 2MB's but smaller ones were just fine. If you're still hitting a wall can you email me a sample of one of the avatar files you are trying so I can see if it also fails on my end? Email is Jordan (AT) megacomputers.ca. Also please let me know what kind of issues you are seeing with a print screen (Alt-Print Screen). When I try a large file I get this screen shot:But when I try a smaller file I get:I hope you don't mind helping me with this, I know others want it solved too. Please let me know. Thanks.

I've noticed the forum removes all carriage returns when posting from an iPhone.

Can you guys with iPhone's and other Smartphones do some tests for me please? Use this thread to try posting in different ways to see if we can nail down the carriage return issue. What I would like you to try is using the Toggle Advance Editor feature within the Post Box. Try posting with it on/off and see if it makes a difference. Also while you're under the Advance Editor, try the remove format option to see if that helps or hurts. There are other tools in there too to try. Please experiment and let me know.Thanks.

How do you get to the advanced editor from the mobile app? On that note, I'd love to have a toggle that would let mobile users switch to the desktop view. The mobile view sucks if you have a fast enough connection. I have two carriage returns plus multiple spaces between "...app?" And "On that note..."

O.K. I have been playing around with this yesterday and today and I have not been successful in editing the typo "This is hte file I was trying to use as an avatar. It seems I am able to upload it in a message just fine."Is a matter of fact, on the mobile, I cannot even see the text when i enter edit mode.

I got no error message when trying to upload my avatar. When I choose a photo to upload, one of two things will happen: 1) Absolutely nothing; 2) It asks me to resize the photo but doesn't display the photo and all I can do is Cancel.

Yeah, I got to the resizing portion too, but there was no "save" button or anything. I just refreshed my profile after resizing, and the avatar was there. Buggy as hell.

I've noticed a lot of glitches in the reply field as well. When I move the cursor manually it sometimes skips me to the beginning or end of the current line, so I have to place the cursor several times before I can actually type or delete what I want to. This is a big concern, as I'm worried that some of the horrible things I type about people might accidentally get posted before I go back and delete them.It also sometimes just gives me some kind of error while typing when it's trying to autosave. Last time it did it in the middle of a long post while I was hitting the backspace key, so it took one of my backspaces as a 'Back' command in the browser, and the post was lost forever. :'(Overall I'm pretty frustrated with the changes. The site's utility has decreased substantially.

And here I thought it was some Win 7.0 prob. I get the same thing, or triple posts. I have noticed a huge delay in "writing" the post. Maybe a dB issue? Is it possible to turn "auto-save" to OFF?

Good idea, I will check.

Sorry you feel that way Jeff, obviously we're working on this and trying to improve it. Thanks.

After going through pages and pages of settings, here is what I have changed;- For image processing which includes thumbnails/avatars I have changed it from GD to NONE. Let's see how that goes with the Avatars. This could be wrong, we'll find out quick.- Finally found the setting and I have disabled "Auto Save" for messages, please let me know if that helps.- FINALLY found the signatures issues and it is now working. Test it out. You may have to edit your personal options to "Show Signatures" to see others plus you can edit your own signature.- For mobile devices there doesn't seem to be a way to browse in "normal" mode rather than mobile mode. I'm still checking that out.- On Chrome I know have an error popping up every 30 seconds or so saying bad server response. I will check in to that.

This is hte file I was trying to use as an avatar. It seems I am able to upload it in a message just fine.

Hi Krank' date=' I tried that same picture you were trying and it would not work for me although other JPG's did. No clue why. Also it appears this image is now being displayed in your signature line. Can you grab this image and see if it works for you on your avatar?. [img']http://forums.wscc.mb.ca/filedata/fetch?id=193954You don't have to use it, just let me know if it works as it does for me. Thanks.

I also tried the same pic using a download from a couple of my home computers as well as using the WSCC URL with no luck. I will try with the current settings and I will try your sample pic. One thing I did find was that most of my problems occurred due to the lag in writing anything to the site. Thanks for the work/time.

I cannot upload your picture from the WSCC URL either it gives me an "ERROR. Invalid URL" message.
This error was my fault when I changed the "Auto Save" option to disable. I was getting the same error. Now that I turned it back on and changed it from 60 seconds to 10 mins it has gone away. Let me know if it has for you too. If it hasn't' date=' please let me know specifics like device, OS and browser.
Nope no luck. I cannot even manually type in an address in the avatar donwload from box' date=' only the URL box so to "browse" will not fill in a local file location to retrieve the file.[/quote'] Instead of typing in a URL, can you download that file to your device then use the BROWSE? It works for me on several different computers.I really appreciate your research on this.Thanks.
