I liked last year's Q&A sessions a lot and I think sticking with a similar format is a good idea. A few tweaks to the format would be fine but the general idea was great. As a new member last year I really like learning about all these fellow racers who I looked up to but didn't know much about.Sorry for not responding I just felt like I had nothing really to say. Please don't misinterpret my lack of response for lack of interest. I'm sure that others feel the same way - they like the idea but didn't have any great ideas of how to improve it.

If I had one suggestion, although it may be exceedingly obvious, please choose new people this year so that there aren't any repeats. I have a couple good suggestions in mind so I can PM/email them to you if you'd like.I know you already got a few of the veterans, but there are so many good drivers out there ... just gotta find a way to make 'em talk. If you're getting desperate, you could always consider interviewing the hot dog guy.... ;)

Having said that' date='how about asking about hobbies outside of autocross?[/quote']Agreed and perhaps his/her line of work (this may show people that we have a wide representation of enthusiasts participating, from students to doctors, lawyers, engineers, mechanics, etc.)I would suggest 2 more:1. Where do you see your involvement in autocross 3 years from now?2. If there is 1 thing you would like to see WSCC do to make autocross even better, what would it be?

SuggestionI would like to see a question about whether the person feels that participation in Solo has improved their driving ability / collision / accident avoidance abilities during their daily drives. If yes, what specific skills have they learned that has contributed to the above.Phil

Same here... I love reading them and wouldn't change too much.More questions about life outside of racing would be interesting, like what has been suggested above (other hobbies, job), and I really liked the Race Day theme you did with Joe P. I don't think you have to stick to the veterans or hotshoes. I'm just as interested in those who have only been racing for a year.More ideas:> What's in your race-day tool bag?---- Any spare parts?> Farthest you've traveled to race? To watch a race?> Do you have a bucket list (motorsports or otherwise)? What's item #1?> Any stories of great sportsmanship, camaraderie or just pitching-in for a fellow racer? [i think we've all been helped out beyond our expectations at some point - let's hear about it!]

I'll add my name to the list of those who think they have been fantastic and that I like how there is a "standard" list of questions. I also agree that some more personal questions are cool ...maybe like-do you have a hidden talent?-nicknames?-best gift ever received?

I loved the interviews last year, and I also really like all of the suggestions about new questions this year. Knowing more about the person outside autocross would be cool too! Considering how small Winnipeg is, there is a good chance that people share other similar interests, and you never know, maybe that would be a good way to connect!Back to the original purpose of the thread, I would suggest adding in an optional "guilty pleasures question", and under the "car details" heading, how about "Worst thing about your car"? I think those questions could have some fun responses!

Awesome job on all the spotlights to date!I would also like to hear more about what people do other than racing."What do you do for fun, other than autosports?""What do you do during your workday/night to keep your car shod with racing rubber?"
