Fast_Toys
With the Nationals coming up, would people with dataloggers be interested in doing some more in depth post race anaylsis of the data we collect? I think we can probably be faster as a team if we learn from each other. If you are interested, post your name here and the datalogger you are using.Even if we have different dataloggers, we should be able to compare results if we all scale our graphs the same. What I would like to see is thoughts on why people took a particular line, choice of braking points and then some discussion on actual results.Just based on my own runs, I can see that if I took section A on my first 3 run and combined it with section B on run 4 and section C from Corey's 4th, I would have had FTD (if only it worked like that huh?). Still, from the data I can see there was a superior method in 2 sections that would have helped me a lot I had recognized it on the course. If we can improve this type of skill, we would all be better.Phil
Corey
I'm all for this! Corey - Race Technology DL1I can also export data to Excel files. That may make comparisons easier, especially for simple stuff like speed vs. distance.
Fast_Toys
Sorry but I was away earlier this week and haven't had a chance to post some data. I will try and do it this weekend.BTW, Jeff's S2000 set the highest continuous lateral G reading I have ever seen. He had 1.4 G for 3 tenths of a second. That was on a re-run so you can see how much the hoosiers love heat. Scary fast!
Kerry
He had 1.4 G for 3 tenths of a second.Corey and I also regularly see 1.3-1.4. Easily consistently at 1.2G I've seen spikes higher.
Fast_Toys
Corey and I also regularly see 1.3-1.4. Easily consistently at 1.2G I've seen spikes higher.Spikes I ignore as they are not held for very long. I see 1.2 consistently as well in the vette but never 1.4 for any period of time (just spikes). I try to shoot for consistent 1.2's in my driving as that seems to be the limit for my combination. In reality, most of the time I am in the 1.0-1.1 range which means I am not pushing hard enough.
