Mike
Bad news - unfortunately we are forced to have to cancel our Event #5 planned for Sept 20-22 Good news - the reason for this cancellation is we will have contractors working on the track starting next week to finally spend our track improvement funds and make all the necessary repairs to the track including some resurfacing. Given the limited contractor timeline and window for laying asphalt in the fall we had to make the tough decision to ensure this work gets done this year. We apologize for all those that planned to come out next weekend. We anticipate that with an improved smooth track surface we will soon see the return of many cars including more vintage race cars, open wheel race cars and many other time attack racers. Be prepared for many of the current lap records to be broken in 2025! 3
Rare Snake
This might be the best bad news I've ever heard. I'm happy to see this finally happening. I don't think many of us truly understand how much time and thought has been put in to get to this point. For that, I just want to say thank you, to everyone involved in making this happen. Hopefully this makes for an awesome 2025 season, no excuse now to not show up and get some laps in next year! See you at DirtX? Dason
cj.gauthier
Any details on what the total scope of work is gonna look like?
Mike
The section between turns 6 and 8 still requires additional assessment on its foundation before that scope of work can be confirmed so the overall amount of resurfacing can't be confirmed yet. Having said that, we are hoping to see over 18,000ft of crack routing, cleaning and sealing; 16 track width joints peeled and paved, lots of surface milling and leveling and ideally full resurfacing from 5 to 9...maybe more but too soon to say for sure at this time.
