Ron Janzen
Hi folks, just wondering about update on the crash at TA Event 4 between the Lotus and Subaru (?..I think)? How is the recovery going with the cars? Always sad to see damage on the track, but so glad there were no injuries.
Rare Snake
Not really an update, but I'll throw in my 2 pennies. I think both drivers dealt with the situation very well after the dust settled, there was even some laughing involved. Everyone who races a car knows that these are some of the risks we take out there, and unfortunately, sometimes stuff happens. I was talking to one driver last weekend, and his car has some pretty significant steering/suspension damage that he is confident can be repaired. The Lotus looked to be mainly cosmetic, although I'm sure it will be fun to find parts. I believe both drivers will be back on track once repairs are completed. The drivers in these classes are amazing to watch out there, on and off the track, and I love the way they handle the situations that they get into. Kudos to these guys!
donrolandofurioso
I entirely agree with you - both drivers took the situation with humour and in the knowledge that things can happen on the track. There was definitely no malice intended at all. However, I do disagree on the "mainly cosmetic" statement. There is definitely some structural work required on both cars. I wish both drivers all the best and hope that they can make it out for the next event. It wouldn't be the same without you two!
cj.gauthier
The other car is a Honda Civic (mine) damage is as follows: Bent knuckle, bent shock, trashed wheel/tire, and damaged fender and door. I've gathered all the replacement parts and I'll have it back on track for the next event. These kind of things are to be expected and as such I already had most of the parts I need to fix it. 1

cj.gauthier
Further update. Lower control arm was also bent. Car is back together now. New (to me) wheels and all. The front clip is a little tweaked so I'm gonna have to get creative with a couple trees and a come-along.
