Rare Snake Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 I like this idea! We all have an idea in our heads of who's done what, just by watching along. But it's nice to see all on one list, and it gives me something to aim for! haha Good job, Tyler! 1
Tysawch Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 updated now to include the full 2023 and 2022 season. We have almost 100 people on the records now in 2 years! 3 hours ago, Rare Snake said: I like this idea! We all have an idea in our heads of who's done what, just by watching along. nopistons Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 It is a thorough list and worth noting the fastest fields are populated with a variety of cars. Makes it more interesting! Thanks for posting this. My RX8 hasn't made an appearance since 2021! 1

This has been missing in local Time Attack and end of the day this is why we do this. Now we just need to make a sticky at the top. People seeing records like this are more motivated to get out there and make a push for it. Cant wait to get back out and get into the top 10..........or 5 Jeremy 2

When I put the 2021 results in it will be a little harder. wanna say I noticed 3 or 4 between 1.00 and 1.03 that aren't on the list yet 2
Majestic Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 (edited) It was super cool to see my name on the list In my clapped out GTI, solid job Tyler, now ive got to find a way to go faster for this year lol. -Chris Lawson Edited February 28, 2024 by Majestic 1

cboettch Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Great work Tyler! Looking forward to when you get to 2018 🤭. 1
Ron Janzen Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 (edited) Can we go back to version 1?... I've lost 5 places in the standing. BTW, car is a '19 VW Golf R. I like that this is a raw time record. Its about the only time I really understand. All the algorithms for class, mods, etc., go straight over my head. Edited February 28, 2024 by Ron Janzen 3
Rare Snake Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Damn, I don't think my Viper lap came up because I was not actually registered that day, I was racing the Veloster that weekend and I cooked the brakes so they let me run it on Sunday as part of TA but not competing.

You did it at a Wscc event with transponder. maybe I will make a poll and see what others think. I stand to gain from this lol. I'm all for any session the transponder is on being included in the record list. maybe as long as a form of proof like your photo is provided we can make some exceptions to help build the list. then going into the 2024 season I will see if I can get the timing sheets to include the morning practice sessions so we catch any potential pb's that happen outside of the competition result sheet also. 3

Those morning laps are done in prime fastest lap conditions so good idea.
FFAttack Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 Can we get this pinned at the top? Most of us do this to see how we stack up. Tyler did the hard work of pulling it all together, let’s get it pinned.
donrolandofurioso Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 The timing sheets do include the practice /warm-up session. However, I personally don't think anything but a competition lap should be listed on there. Personal bests mean nothing if they have not been set in the heat (literally!) of the competition. Pulling up some numbers that were obtained during the best of all conditions maybe gives you a record of what you at one time were able to achieve, but it is not the best race lap. As we say back home: "At home all boys have marbles. Bring them out to play if you really have them!"

Tysawch Posted January 1, 2025 Author Posted January 1, 2025 2024 season is now up. Good to see lots of improvements and new names added to the record 1
Tysawch Posted January 2, 2025 Author Posted January 2, 2025 Turned a pb in a practice session. If this has happened to you please post and we can get it updated
ron Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 Thanks for doing this Tyler. I think we should post these results inside the clubhouse (aka TopGear lap times board). This season's final results have been posted and we have a few new personal bests: Kaycee is now down to 59.187 Richard Coyle has broken the 1:00 barrier a couple of times with a 59.838 best I don't think Sheldon Fehr beat his person best but he came very close, which is crazy now that he had his car set up for SGT. Jeremy Norquay in the Civic ran a 1:01.740 I also squeaked out a new PB with a 1:02.764 (new tires but no brakes!) in the 944. Doug Miller 1:09.994 Dylan Hesom 1:07.574 I did not check everyone. There could be more. 2
Weebly Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 Great suggestion @ron posting a Top Gear style best lap times board. Thanks to our Amsoil sponsorship, we have transformed the concession into the Amsoil Training Centre and clubhouse. What better way to celebrate personal best times than having those time posted in the clubhouse. And it should encourage friendly competition. What about road race and open wheel lap records - can we include those as well? I like your comment about Sheldon going just as fast with his significantly de-modified Elise this year. Just goes to show that you need to be selective in your choice of modifications. As far as your remark about about not having brakes, when you set your PB, just reinforces the fact that brakes slow you down, ha-ha! 1
