2023 Time Attack Timing Results

Recommended Posts

First off, a big shout-out to Doug Waldron (Timing & Scoring Guru) for converting the MyLaps Speedhive .html report into Excel format. This saved me the trouble of entering all the lap time manually into a spreadsheet. Next time you're at the track, drop by the timing trailer and say Hi to Doug ... and thanks!

Here are the results as of Event #8

Let me know if I got anything wrong or needs improvement (first time doing this).  Thanks!

Just edited the event #1 & #2 results to show all unclassfied cars as EXTREME class. This was known as TA-RAW last year.

Also added rookie designation (R) to drivers who have not yet achieved 8 events.  In other words, as long as you start the 2023 season with 8 or less events under your belt, you're still classed as a rookie for the reminder of the year. However, if 2023 is your third year of doing Time Attack (regardless of how many events), then you will lose your rookie status.

I don't know the Time Attack history of every person on the results list, so if you wouldn't mind checking your status, I would appreciate that and make any changes necessary. No need to reply if I have you listed correctly.

And, as a reminder, it's not too late to class your car. See information elsewhere on this Forum for classing procedure. We're hoping to have a good turnout and points chase at our next events on Jun 11 & 12th.

On Sunday, you have Brian Cummins entered best overall as a 1:03:1, that session was supposed to be disregarded as i was driving for that. So it looks like his actual best time was a 1:05:6 .

If you could kindly make those changes, that would be wonderful.

The lap times for events #3 & #4 have been added to our Excel spreadsheet at the top of this thread.

Just a reminder, if you see yourself listed as a rookie but you would prefer to participate in the championship series base on your class, just let me know at secretary@wscc.mb.ca and I'll make the changes. Thanks,

Brian

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I can only see the results from Event 1.

I am having the very same issue.

The only event that I did well in was Event #1, and that's why you don't see the other events. Ha-ha- just kidding.

All events, up to and including Events #5 & #6 should  now be visible. I think everyone wants to see Dason's and Tyler's 1:05's.  Good stuff!

I classed my car through OTA. Why am I still Extreme?

Sorry,  @Ahobo1 but I don't recall receiving a PIP schedule from you. I wasn't aware that the Westfield 7 was in the OTA database.

If you were able to generate a PIP schedule, please forward it to me at secretary@wscc.mb.ca and we'll get you properly classed.

Otherwise, I'm assuming you're referring to Section 4.1 of the OTA Regulations which covers kit cars. Please let me know whether you are considering your car as MOD class based on what we see here ...

Thanks @Weebly. I didn't realize it needed to be submitted via email. I have just done so.
