Join us as part of the Winnipeg Beach Wonderful Winter Festival! We are anticipating a nice big track out on the big pond!

Saturday Feb 18 - IceX Drift Day - Ice Drifting and lapping (open to everyone including first timers)

             -Drivers meeting at 10:45am and Ice Drifting begins at 11am! (no lunch break)

Sunday Feb 5 - Race Day - Ice Drifting and Ice Racing (experienced IceX entries and licensed racers only)

             -Drivers meeting at 9:45am, Ice Drifting and Practice starts at 10am and Racing begins at 12 noon following the lunch break

 

On Saturday there is no limit to the number of entries - spread the word and bring a friend!

On Sunday there is a limit to 12 IceX entries (previous events have sold out - don't be late and miss out!)

Nice to see our Club getting visibility in the weekend schedule. Might hang around for the bonfire, marshmallow roast and fireworks. Just hoping they don't get the marshmallows and fireworks packages mixed up.

Update - The track is built and it is smooth and wide!

The weather forecast is in the single digits with little wind!

Sunday is officially SOLD OUT for IceX entries (12 cars registered) - there is still room for IceX entries on the Saturday Ice Drift Day.

Attached is a drawing of the track area along with a directions map to get there. There will be signs to watch for but basically in Winnipeg Beach turn off Hwy 9 onto Park Street and go until the end and turn left for about a block or so to the Marina. Follow the road down onto the ice and out onto the lake.

Another great race weekend in the bank despite the weather being a bit chillier on Sunday than originally forecasted. Lots of great IceX Drifting action and lots of close racing with the Fire on Ice group.

That said, thanks again to all the volunteers that came out and helped us put on another great event as part of the Wonderful Winter Weekend Festival at Lake Winnipeg. 

Next stop...the season finale double header weekend at Gimli in 2 weeks. Discount room rates at the Lakeview Hotel available (just tell them your with WSCC) and a club dinner on Saturday night (free to all volunteers that helped out this season). Hope to see everyone out!
