nopistons
We will have an Instructor Briefing ahead of the 2022 race school. Please stay tuned to this thread as I will post when that will occur. (Tentatively Wednesday April 20th) Briefing will include schedule(s) and COVID protocols with respect to Lead-Follow and In-Car Instruction. Remember, on an non-pandemic year, we need 21 instructors at a minimum!! Current instructors: If you haven't already done so, please register on the volunteer registration page on MSR! If you have taken the Motorsport Safety Foundation Level 1 program, great! If you haven't please enquire about doing so. We would like all instructors to have completed this program. Potential Instructors: Interested in getting involved as an instructor? Want to learn more about what that means? Please let me know if you are thinking about becoming an instructor this season! Lets hear any questions you may have! Eligibility criteria to become an instructor is as follows: Current amateur (or higher) license holder, minimum 2 full years or 10 events of documented experience, with recent activity and the completion of the Motorsport Safety Foundation Level 1 online instructor program. Or Current, licensed Time Attack racer, minimum 2 full years or 10 events of documented experience and completion of the Motorsport Safety Foundation Level 1 online instructor program. If you are track staff, you may also attend to get a feel for the schedule. If you are interested in instructing but aren't sure if you are ready to hop in the "passenger seat", this is a great opportunity to see what this is all about. As we are doing lead-follow once again, we will be following the same schedule as last year. If you have suggestions on how to improve this process, please let someone on the HPDE Team know what you have in mind, prior to the meeting so we can add it to the discussion topics.
