Rhyno
Hey all,We tried the change of stock co cars today and it sort of worked. However I think Jeff's original design is still the best. Some of the issues I was concerned with such as stop box run throughs have really been corrected by the longer stopping area. And the congestion will just have to be worked around. The one thing that we lost with this change was pit stalls. Today of course we had WAY more mod cars than stock. And the grid change left the extra spots at the wrong end of grid and cars having to pit on the gravel.Phil raised a concern about pit space for the cars changing tires. I really do not know what to do to rectify this as we have just enough grid space as it is. I will try to go from 5 paces to 6 between pits but I do not think we will have enough room. Curtis
Being grid marshal today for sp/mod was more work than necessary today.Couldn't the start just be moved a few car lengths to the east to allow for a bit more room if there are quite a few co-driven stock cars? Why not go 5.5 paces per stall? That would allow a bit more room for the larger diameter tires and extra equipment to be stored between cars.

But even with the start where it was we could fit more cars in at that end. We will just have to have the stock co cars at the start or north end.
