Mike_Wrecker
I was wondering if studded winter tires (ones that are used for the street) are allowed to be used for Ice-x (Saturday lapping).
Jim Eh.
I believe DOT studded winter tire are allowed. At least that was the answer when I asked.
Mike_Wrecker
So would that be DOT studable with studs put in, or DOT factory studded tires?

Hey Mike, Yes, studded winter tires are allowed for lapping. DOT street legal studded tires to be specific, and it doesn't matter if they have been studded afterwards, or factory studded, assuming the studs used were street legal standard studs
