Well we have purchased a state of the art AMB timing system and will be used at GMP for Race and SoloSprint. We will now have extremely accurate lap by lap data. SoloSprinters can purchase a transponder if they would like, but rentals will be available for $25 at the race track. Purchasing will allow you to keep track of your lap data using Mylaps.com and has other perks.
Transponders will become the norm for all events and payment will be setup in DLB for the next event.
We will be following the WSCC road race regulations regarding the usage policy
Timing & Scoring
AMB TranX260 transponders are recommended. Contact the Race Director for ordering
information. Competitors may rent a transponder at a cost of $60.00. Rental transponders shall
be picked up at the concession building. Rental transponders must be returned to WSCC. All
rental transponders remain the property of WSCC. If a rental transponder is lost or severely
damaged, the entrant will be required to purchase a replacement unit for $400.00. Teams who
leave the event without returning the transponder will be fined $50.00 if the transponder is not
returned to the WSCC within five (5) working days. Competition privileges will be suspended until
the fine is paid. If the transponder is not returned to WSCC before the next event(s), the team will
be assessed the rental fee of $60.00 for every event that the transponder is not available for use. If the rental transponder has not been checked out and/or properly installed the car will not be
timed and scored.
