RIP,Bemidji,Colorado+Remaining Rallies

1) R.I.P. COLIN McRAE & JAKE HIMES

As most of you already know by now, it is with a heavy heart that the
worldwide rally community mourns the death of Word Rally Champion Colin
McRae. He, along with his 5 year old son and two family friends were killed
while piloting his helicopter at his home in Scotland exactly two weeks ago
today. The accident took place just as everyone was preparing to leave for
Rally Colorado, and the recognition of his contribution to the sport
worldwide was widespread at Rally Colorado. Good friend Ken Block dedicated
his Rally Colorado win to Colin and stated "he flew my family and I around
in that very helicopter just a few months ago...this news is very surreal
for me at this moment. He truly loved flying helicopters and he was very
good at it." The "Service of Celebration for the lives of Colin and Johnny"
takes place tomorrow(Sunday) afternoon in Lanark, Scotland.

Rally-America also mourned the passing of Jake Himes of Duluth, MN
throughout the weekend, who passed away just prior to Colin. He was an
instrumental individual heavily involved with rally for many years. Jake

4) REMAINING EVENTS THIS YEAR

If you missed-out on the Ojibwe Forests Rally in August, be sure to attend
the Lake Superior Rally in 3.5 weeks time. Aside from Ojibwe, it is the
closest rally to Winnipeg...a mere 10-11 hour drive :) If you will be
attending, please let us know and we'll provide you with a
custom/recommended spectator movement schedule and other details. The
scenery around Houghton, MI is amazing at this time of year and the event is
shaping-up to be the biggest of the entire season, which also happens to be
the final round. Nearly every class championship is up for grabs, including
ours...after three straight wins, we are a mere point away from winning the
U.S. National Championship.
