so far I figure the firebird is in the ITGT class, now are all the rules the same for each class or are there more rules for that specific class? because I looked on the pdfs and so far its a general what to have what not to have, what you can do what you can't do.
because I know in drag each class has its own set of rules that are added to the lower class on the list, ie superstock has its rules but pro stock has the superstock rules plus the prostock rules.
In the WCMA sporting regulations there are some basic safety regulations all covered in the appendicies. Apart from that what you see are the regulations in IT.
ITGT is a catshall class that prepares highly modified street stock type cars for entry to the GT ranks. This is why there are a lot of references to the GT regulations when talking about this class.
If you are considering moving to road racing I would hazard a guess that your car is almost there. The only differences are that the car has to be able to turn left & right and the races last up to 40 minutes, so some detuning in the interest of longgevity may be in order.
Also you will be required to attend an approved race school usually we run it in the spring before May.
Hope to see you trackside sometime in the future.
